From the East on I-64
If you are traveling to St. Louis on I-64/Rt. 40 continue westbound to I-270 northbound. Exit I-270 at Dorsett Road. Go west (left off the exit ramp) on Dorsett. Dorsett ends at Marine Ave. Turn right on Marine Ave and go down the hill to the lake. Proceed along Marine Ave about 3/4 mile. On the left you will see a sign for the “Sailboat Cove”. Turn left into the parking area there. You will see the SLRC Boathouse off to the right as you enter the Sailboat Cove parking lot. There’s a paved road that leads from the parking lot to the boathouse.
From the East or West on I-70
Take the Earth City Expressway south exit. This exit is the first one after the Missouri River if you are coming from the west. It is the first one west of I-270 if you are coming from the east. Follow Earth City Expressway through 3-4 lights to Marine Ave. Turn Left onto Marine. (There is a small white house alone in a field and a traffic light at the turn.) The boathouse will be just past the railroad tracks on the right. Enter the “Sailboat Cove” parking area and proceed to the boathouse.
If you’re towing a trailer, it’s best to avoid driving down the hill on Marine Ave. The road is narrow, winding and there are no shoulders. Rather than exiting I-270 at Dorsett Road. Get off I-270 at the westbound Page Ave/ Rt. 364 exit. Follow Page/Rt. 364 approximately 2 miles to the Maryland Heights Expressway exit. Turn right off of the exit ramp and go 2 miles (through 2 lights) to Marine Ave. Turn right onto Marine. Cross over the railroad tracks. The boathouse will be on your right. Enter the “Sailboat Cove” parking lot and proceed to the boathouse.
